About Me
Who I am
Hi, I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a health professional with years of experience both in the clinic and on the field—as an ex-elite athlete, I’ve lived on both sides of the recovery equation.
Today, I combine my scientific background and real-world experience to test and review health optimization tools with a critical eye—but also with a practical mindset.
I’ve used pretty much every wearable out there—Whoop, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura—so I know how overwhelming it can be to decipher what actually works and what’s just marketing hype. That’s why I created this site.
Why This Website Exists
I built humeband.com to help people make smarter, well-informed decisions about their health gear—without needing a PhD to understand how it all works.
I break down:
- What the science really says
- How the product performs in daily life
- What’s marketing fluff vs. useful features
- And ultimately—whether it’s worth your time and money
All my reviews are based on hands-on testing, and I always try to explain the medical principles or physiological concepts behind each product in simple, down-to-earth terms.

“Health tech should empower people—not confuse them. I test every product like a scientist, but I explain it like a friend.”
How I Test Products
Every product I review goes through a structured process:
- I wear it daily, compare it to validated tools like ECG or clinical-grade monitors
- I look at usability, data accuracy, coaching relevance, and long-term value
- I check scientific references, clinical studies, and user feedback to cross-validate what the brand claims
In short: I don’t just repeat specs—I analyze whether the product does what it promises in the real world.
Let’s Make Health Simple Again
We’re bombarded with tech and data every day. But real health isn’t about chasing perfect numbers—it’s about using the right tools to support your body, your mind, and your longevity.
My goal is to help you understand what you’re tracking, why it matters, and how to act on it.
If that resonates with you, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for reading—and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
